Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery Services in Dubai, UAE & USA
The ransomware note appeared at 06:40 on a Sunday. The backups were on a server that was also encrypted, the last offline copy was five weeks old and nobody had ever tested a full restore. Every organization has a backup policy; far fewer have one that survives contact with an attacker.
M365 Enterprise Hub delivers cloud backup and disaster recovery services for organizations in Dubai, across the UAE and in the USA. We design and implement Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery and Microsoft 365 backup with immutable storage, defined recovery objectives and tested failover, so an outage or attack becomes a documented recovery rather than a crisis. Our cloud backup and disaster recovery services are scoped to agreed RPO and RTO targets for organizations in Dubai, across the UAE and in the USA, with failover tested before handover.

What Are Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery Services?
Cloud backup protects data: copies of servers, databases, files and Microsoft 365 content stored in Azure with retention, encryption and immutability so they can be restored after deletion, corruption or ransomware. Disaster recovery protects operations: the ability to bring whole systems back online in another location, within an agreed recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO), when a site, region or platform fails. Together they form business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR).
In Microsoft Azure the core services are Azure Backup for VMs, SQL, files and on-premises servers, Azure Site Recovery for replicating workloads to a secondary region or from on-premises into Azure, and third-party or Microsoft 365 Backup for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. BCDR is the layer we add to every Azure infrastructure setup and Azure migration, and the control auditors ask about first. Our cloud backup and disaster recovery services are built on Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup, so replication and failover behaviour matches Microsoft’s documented support boundaries.
Backup & DR Solutions We Deliver
Backup, replication and Microsoft 365 protection solve different failures. We design all three against your real recovery objectives rather than selling one product for every risk.
Azure Backup for Servers & Data
Recovery Services vaults for Azure VMs, SQL and SAP databases, Azure Files and on-premises Windows and Linux servers, with immutable vaults, soft delete, multi-user authorization and cross-region restore.
Azure Site Recovery for DR
Continuous replication of Azure VMs to a secondary region, or of VMware, Hyper-V and physical servers into Azure, with recovery plans, scripted failover and non-disruptive DR drills.
Microsoft 365 Backup
Independent backup of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams with point-in-time restore, because Microsoft 365 retention policies are not a backup and ransomware syncs to OneDrive too.

Why Backup and DR Need to Be Designed, Not Assumed
Native snapshots stored in the same subscription as production, backups that an administrator account can delete, and DR plans that exist only in a document are the three gaps that turn an incident into a business-ending event. UAE regulators, the Central Bank, DHA and ADEK, and US frameworks including HIPAA, SOC 2 and NIST all expect tested recovery with documented objectives. Azure makes that affordable: immutable vaults cost a fraction of a second data centre, Site Recovery bills only for replication until you fail over, and DR drills run without touching production. The cost of a tested plan is small; the cost of discovering a gap during a ransomware event, measured in days of downtime and regulatory reporting, is not. Pair BCDR with Azure security and Defender for Cloud so you detect attacks early and recover cleanly.
Our Cloud Backup & Disaster Recovery Services
From protecting a single Azure subscription to building a cross-region DR capability for an entire data centre, every engagement follows the same sequence.
BCDR Assessment & Recovery Objectives
Business impact analysis with application owners to set RPO and RTO per system, review of current backups and gaps, ransomware resilience assessment and a prioritised protection plan with cost estimates.
Backup Design & Implementation
Recovery Services and Backup vaults with immutability and multi-user authorization, policies per workload, SQL and file-level protection, on-premises agents and Microsoft 365 backup configured and tested with real restores.
Disaster Recovery & Site Recovery
Secondary region or Azure target design, Site Recovery replication, recovery plans with boot order and automation, network and DNS failover design, and runbooks your team can execute under pressure.
DR Testing, Monitoring & Managed BCDR
Scheduled restore tests and DR drills with evidence for auditors, Backup Center and alerting, monthly reporting on job health and retention, and optional managed backup and DR service.
Backup & Recovery Failures We Prevent
These are the failures we find in most environments during a BCDR assessment. Each is closed by design, then proven by a test.
- Backups encrypted alongside production: Immutable vaults, soft delete and multi-user authorization mean attackers and compromised admins cannot delete or alter recovery points.
- Restores that have never been tested: Quarterly file, database and full-VM restore tests with documented results, so the first real restore is not the first attempt.
- Microsoft 365 data assumed to be backed up: Dedicated Microsoft 365 backup with point-in-time restore for mailboxes, sites, OneDrive and Teams beyond retention limits.
- DR plans that exist only on paper: Site Recovery recovery plans, scripted network failover and twice-yearly DR drills proving RTO and RPO are achievable.
Our Step-by-Step Backup & DR Process
- Business Impact Analysis: Systems ranked by criticality, RPO and RTO agreed per application, regulatory retention requirements and current protection gaps documented.
- BCDR Design: Backup policies, vault architecture, immutability, DR topology, replication targets, network failover and cost model designed and approved.
- Backup Implementation: Vaults, policies, agents and Microsoft 365 backup deployed across Azure and on-premises workloads, with initial restores verified.
- DR Build & First Drill: Site Recovery replication, recovery plans and runbooks built, then a full test failover executed and timed against the agreed RTO.
- Monitoring & Handover: Backup Center dashboards, alerts, restore test schedule and DR drill calendar delivered with training and optional managed BCDR.

Cloud Backup & Disaster Recovery FAQs
Backup keeps copies of data so individual files, databases or servers can be restored after deletion, corruption or ransomware. Disaster recovery keeps whole systems available by replicating them to another location and failing over when a site or region fails. Most organizations need both, with different recovery objectives for each.
Recovery point objective is how much data you can afford to lose, measured in time since the last recovery point. Recovery time objective is how quickly a system must be running again. We agree both per application during the business impact analysis and design the backup frequency and DR replication to meet them.
Microsoft provides retention and versioning, not a backup. Deleted items, ransomware-encrypted OneDrive files and departed users’ data can fall outside retention windows. A dedicated Microsoft 365 backup gives point-in-time restore for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams independently of your tenant.
Immutable vaults lock recovery points so they cannot be deleted or modified for the retention period, even by a global administrator or an attacker with stolen credentials. Combined with soft delete and multi-user authorization, this guarantees a clean recovery point exists.
Yes. Azure Site Recovery replicates VMware, Hyper-V and physical Windows and Linux servers into Azure continuously. You pay for replication and storage until a disaster, then compute only while running in Azure, which is far cheaper than a second data centre in Dubai or the US.
We recommend restore tests quarterly and a full DR drill at least twice a year, more often for regulated organizations. Site Recovery test failovers run in an isolated network without affecting production, and we document each drill as audit evidence.
Yes. For UAE customers vaults and replication targets are placed in UAE North and UAE Central, which also provide a natural region pair for DR within the country. US customers use paired US regions in the same way.
