What Is an Email Security & Archive Migration?
An email security migration replaces a third-party secure email gateway such as Mimecast, Proofpoint, Barracuda or Symantec with Microsoft Defender for Office 365, re-pointing mail flow and rebuilding anti-spam, anti-phishing, Safe Links and Safe Attachments policies natively in Microsoft 365.
An archive migration moves years of journaled and archived email from Enterprise Vault, Mimecast Archive, Proofpoint Archive, Google Vault or PST files into Exchange Online archive mailboxes and Microsoft Purview, where retention, eDiscovery and legal hold are applied.
